Recently, MBC announced that its drama schedule will be interrupted for the next 2 weeks. The drama “When the Phone Rings” will be aired every Friday and Saturday. However, “When the Phone Rings” will not be aired on December 14 (Saturday) and December 20 (Friday) to make way for other special programs.
The December 14 broadcast schedule will be replaced by a special program about Han Kang - the first Korean writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. On December 20, MBC will air a summary of episodes 1 to 7 of "When the Phone Rings". In addition, to make up for the audience's wait, episode 5 of this drama will also be extended by 10 minutes.
"When the Phone Rings" is currently the hottest drama in Korea and all over Asia. In Vietnam, many viewers hope that the station will air 2 episodes a day after postponing the show to catch up with the schedule. Some viewers think that the show just finished filming the last scenes at the end of November, so the show needs to be delayed for post-production.
According to Netflix's latest announcement, the film climbed to the top 2 of the most-watched non-English-language TV shows last week on Netflix globally.
“When the Phone Rings” is a drama about the arranged marriage of the youngest Blue House spokesperson Baek Sa Eon (played by Yoo Yeon Seok) and mute sign language interpreter Hong Hee Joo (played by Chae Soo Bin). The male lead Baek Sa Eon is loved by many female viewers because of his “CEO” aura, cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
Since "Queen of Tears", "When the Phone Rings" has become the next movie discussed on all Vietnamese social networking forums.
