The movie "The Other Side of the City" tells about the friendship between Cuong (Vo Hoai Vu) and Khue (Thai Vu). Although they are close friends, Cuong and Khue have almost opposite personalities. While Cuong is rebellious, playful, lazy to study but righteous, Khue is obedient, good at studying but shy and lives in seclusion. However, the appearance of Tuyet Lan (Tu Quyen) leads to secrets that seemed to have been buried and shaken the friendship between Cuong and Khue. In episode 1 of the movie "The Other Side of the City", on the way to school, Khue (Thai Vu) had a car breakdown. Seeing this, Khue's best friend Cuong (Vo Hoai Vu) rushed to tell his friend to take his car and he would lead the car behind him. However, Khue refused because that would make Cuong go to school late and be recorded in the homework book. Being naive, Cuong said that he had been recorded in the homework book for many days, recording another day was okay.
As a good student, Khue resolutely refused because Cuong would be expelled from school for just one more day. Finally, Khue took responsibility for taking Cuong to school and Cuong sat behind to lead the motorbike.
Being a good student, Khue was known by many people. Taking advantage of this, Thai spread rumors that Khue was an illegitimate child, causing everyone to point and tease Khue.
