TV series "Succession": When family values are distorted by power and money

Lam Anh |

Do you like to watch movies around the rich, powerful and cunning life of the rich? Then "successor" (Succession) will be the TV series you cannot ignore. Just opened around the world first episode, on 4.6, 60 minutes of the episode brought a sense of excitement and attractive to viewers when going deep describing the life behind the glory of the people in the family owning the world's leading media group.

Setting up in New York, SUCCESSION covers a wide range of topics including power, politics, money, and family.

Login Roy - the boss of the family-owned international media corporation - Waystar Royco, is a tough, strong person but is too old to buy. He married his third wife - Marcia (Hiam Abbass - "Blade Runner" 2049), a lovely but also formidable partner.

Mr. Roy's four children grew up with four completely opposite personalities. Kendall Roy ( jeremy Strong), Logs' eldest son of his second marriage, is now a department chairman at the company and an obvious heir. Roman Roy (Kieran culkin), Kendall's younger brother, is straightforward and arrogant, and currently no longer works at Waystar. Siobhan Shiv Roy (Sarah Snook), Logans only daughter and also the youngest child pursuing a political career.

Inside the rich life of a family that is always sought after by the press, deep into the lives of people living in a luxurious villa are endless struggles, deep calculations, betrayal, cruelty, and crises that only those who give up everything or the steel nerve do not feel depressed.

At the beginning of the film, viewers witnessed Kendall Roy trying to take on the role of "successful" of the group. Actor Jeremy Strong played his role in episode quite well. Kendall looked like a child, trying to wear a shirt that was too big, carrying himself to show his ability.

Kendall's " Roman" student shows himself to be lazy, arrogant and always thinks he knows everything. Shiv - the youngest daughter of the family, is a person who is manipulative but selfish. Conner Roy - the eldest brother, is almost an "exogenous" in the whole family. However, when an incident happens, money and power will most likely change everything.

Facing his "not big enough" children, Mr. Logs felt that he could not rest and leave the business to anyone. At the end of episode 1, Logan suffered a brain hemorrhage, and the final scenes of the film are a white ward with the worried and calculating eyes of all family members.

When talking about the drama, director and executive producer Adam Mc Kay said: SUCCESSION is a drama that mentions a tragic side where you witness how much money and power distort, disrupt and damage your family.
