Rose became the fastest Kpop and Asian artist to have a MV reach 1 billion views in history, surpassing the best achievement that PSY's "Gangnam Style" MV ever recorded, which was 158 days.
“APT.” is also the 5th fastest MV to reach 1 billion YouTube views globally, behind Adele's "Hello" MV (87 days), Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" MV (96 days), Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" MV (97 days) and J Balvin and Willy William's "Mi Gente" MV (102 days).
With "APT.", Rose is currently the Kpop artist with the fastest music product to reach 1 billion views/streams on the two major music platforms YouTube and Spotify.
“APT.” reached 1 billion streams on Spotify on January 26. Rose’s song achieved this achievement after 100 days of release, breaking the previous K-pop record set by BTS’ Jungkook and rapper Latto’s “Seven” (108 days).
Last week, "APT." climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, a weekly chart of the most popular songs in the United States. Rose holds the record for being the highest-charting female K-pop artist (both in groups and solo) on the chart.
Rose is also the first K-pop artist to top (No. 1) Billboard's Pop Airplay chart (which measures weekly airplay on US Top 40 radio stations).
According to predictions, "APT." could rise to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 next week. After more than 3 months of release, Rose and Bruno Mars' hit continues to achieve new achievements and records.
