According to Korean media, Billboard announced that Jennie has entered the Top 200 Albums chart (a weekly chart of the most popular albums in the US) as a solo artist.
Accordingly, Jennie's solo album "Ruby" debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. This means it is the second best-selling album of the week in the US.
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), "Ruby" achieved a total of 56,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 13.
The album's total score includes 26,500 traditional album units and 29,000 streaming equivalent album units (SEA), equivalent to 39.93 million on-demand audio streams throughout the week. The album also achieved 500 song equivalent album units (TEA) in the first week.
Kim Jennie, commonly known by her stage name Jennie, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and actress. Born and raised in Korea, Jennie studied abroad in New Zealand for 5 years before returning to her hometown in 2010. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, debuted under YG Entertainment in August 2016. She started her acting career as Jennie Ruby Jane in HBO's The Idol drama series in 2023.
