According to Korean media, the official UK chart (this is a chart on par with the US Billboard chart) announced that Jennie's first solo album "Ruby" has debuted at No. 3 on the official album chart.
Jennie not only became the first Korean female solo artist to enter the top 3 of the official singles chart, but also equalled BTS' Jungkook's record for the highest ranking ever achieved by a Korean solo artist on this chart.
In addition, Jennie has included no less than three different songs on the official singles chart this week.
Her new title track Like Jennie debuted at No. 36, while her B-side song Handlebars featuring Dua Lipa entered the chart at No. 41.
Finally, her previously released single ExtraL featuring Doechii rose to No. 66 in its third week on the chart.
Kim Jennie, commonly known by her stage name Jennie, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and actress. Born and raised in Korea, Jennie studied abroad in New Zealand for 5 years before returning to her hometown in 2010. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, debuted under YG Entertainment in August 2016. She started her acting career as Jennie Ruby Jane in HBO's The Idol drama series in 2023.
