Vietnam Television (VTV) said that from the afternoon of July 20, the frequency of weather forecast broadcasts on television will be adjusted, ensuring priority for updating information on storm situation.
VTV broadcasts weather forecasts to continuously update the developments of storm No. 3, with a broadcast frequency of 2 hours each time.
In addition, newsletters and morning greetings continuously provide information on the natural disaster situation and response direction by authorities. At the same time, it will increase dissemination and guidance on measures and skills to respond to storms, floods, inundation, landslides, and flash floods for people.
VTV also affirmed that it should flexibly adjust the calendar framework, closely coordinate with the News Department to ensure priority for updating information on the situation of storm No. 3.
On the morning of July 19, the storm, internationally known as Wipha, entered the East Sea, becoming the third storm.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the storm will affect the North and North Central regions from the evening of July 21, causing strong winds, heavy rain, high risk of flash floods, landslides in the midlands and mountainous areas, flooding in low-lying and urban areas.
