However, in a recent livestream, the actress born in 1998 suddenly revealed a new direction in her career.
She said that at nearly 30 years old, she no longer wants to be associated with movies that only revolve around male and female love affairs, but hopes to find works with depth, reflecting life and bringing social value to the audience.
According to Trieu Lo Tu, even if she shoots 10 films a year, if no work is truly invested in content, all efforts become meaningless.
What she cares most about is the audience's feelings after watching the movie. The actress said she didn't want people to wait for a long time, and then when the movie aired, she just exclaimed: "Triệu Lộ Tư, what are you filming at the end of the day?".
Therefore, instead of chasing after the number of projects or continuing to repeat familiar roles, Trieu Lo Tu said she is willing to spend more time searching for truly quality scripts.
The actress's shares quickly attracted attention on Chinese social networks. Many viewers believe that this is a signal that Trieu Lo Tu is actively leaving her comfort zone, instead of continuing to exploit the film genre that helped her build her name.
This new direction also partly affects Trieu Lo Tu's plan to return to the film set. Although it was originally planned to start filming the movie "How beautiful as you want" in August, the plan is now said to be likely to change because the crew has not yet completed the script to send to the actress.
However, Trieu Lo Tu did not refuse the project. She affirmed: "If the script is okay, I will definitely participate". This statement shows that the actress is willing to wait to get a script that meets expectations, instead of rushing to start filming according to schedule.
Not only stopping at sharing in livestreams, this orientation was also quickly expressed in action. Immediately after that, Trieu Lo Tu's office publicly searched for the original script on social networks, inviting screenwriters and creators to send scripts, outlines or film ideas for cooperation.
According to the announcement, Trieu Lo Tu's crew prioritizes works exploiting women's themes, the process of maturity, healing and realistic stories. Besides complete scripts, the studio also receives short story, long story ideas and film outlines, provided that the content is originally creative and no copyright disputes arise.
For individual projects, the crew will buy the script outright and pay all royalties to the author. Meanwhile, long-term development projects will be implemented in the form of co-creation. The author still retains the right to write their name on the work and enjoy additional revenue from the broadcasting process as well as exploiting derivative products.
