According to Edaily, singer and actor Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P - former member of Big Bang) has recently become a promotional face for K-content (Korean content) on the global Netflix streaming service.
Netflix has released a promotional video for K-content titled: "Even if you don't know the language, you can still feel it", featuring TV star Martha Stewart, rapper Lil Yachty and "Squid Game" star T.O.P.
In the video, Martha Stewart expressed her passion for Korean entertainment shows and dramas. She watched many different contents such as When Life Is for You, Squid Game, The World of the living, S leading Hell, Physical: 100...
T.O.P appears at the end of the video. He entered the room and witnessed Martha Stewart "plowing" IU - Park Bo Gum's kissing scene in the movie "When Life Is for You as a Bamboo". Her room also has Korean snacks and a cover of Jennie's (Blackpink) song "Like Jennie".
T.O.P said that Martha Stewart really loves Korean culture, not just K-content. After that, he reenacted the famous "free heart" scene of Thanos in "Squid Game 2" and left with the familiar "skrrrt" line.

This is not the first time T.O.P has appeared as the face of K-content on Netflix. He was previously invited to attend Netflix's global fan event "Tudum 2025" held in Los Angeles (USA) on May 31.
Notably, in the Squid Game cast invited to participate, T.O.P is the only actor who did not appear in the upcoming season 3. Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Park Sung Hoon, Kang Ae Sim all appeared in Squid Game 3.
T.O.P's character Thanos, a drug addict rapper in "Squid Game 2", passed away after a conflict with player 333 Lee Myung Gi (Im Siwan).
It is reported that T.O.P was still invited to attend the event because Netflix's headquarters is very interested in the popularity of the character Thanos. And the K-content promotional video featuring T.O.P is also understood as an extension of this intention.
In fact, when Squid Game 2 was released, the character Thanos played by T.O.P created many different memes and received explosive reactions from international fans.
T.O.P has been boycotted by Korean audiences for many years, after he was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a suspended sentence for an illegal marijuana scandal in 2017.
After that, he continued to be the center of controversy when he removed Big Bang's name from his social media post and announced his departure from the group in 2023.
After a long time in hiding, not active in music or acting, T.O.P officially returned in December 2024 with a new role in Squid Game 2.

T.O.P shared, "I had intended to leave the project, but director Hwang Dong Hyuk gave me confidence. I decided to repay that trust as an actor and carry out the project responsibly until the end."
Although Korean audiences still have prejudices and unfavorable views of T.O.P, global fans have openly welcomed and cheered his comeback.
