According to Jagran Josh, the information gathering platform that announced the list "Top 10 most searched people on Google in 2025", V (BTS) ranked 4th, only after US President Donald Trump, billionaire Elon Musk and Taylor Swift.
This ranking includes figures from many different fields such as politics, sports and popular culture.
Ranked after V in the list are Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Bianca Censori and Vinesh Phogat.
Jagran Josh said that V (BTS) has attracted attention in more than 70 countries, thanks to his solo music activities, strong influence on Instagram and distinctive fashion style.
V also ranked 6th in Jagran Josh's "Top 7 most searched male artists born after 1990" list. This list includes: Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Zayn Malik, V and Travis Scott.
According to Jagran Josh, their Google search analysis data spans from 2004 to present. Since BTS debuted on June 13, 2013 to January 30, this year, V has always recorded stable high search volume, maintaining its position as one of the leading Kpop faces with global influence.
V's real name is Kim Taehyung, born on December 30, 1995 in Daegu, South Korea. He debuted in 2013 as the voice of the boy group BTS.
The group has achieved global success, regularly leading the Billboard charts and affirming its position as a major power in the international music market.
Besides group activities, V also pursued a solo career and was recognized for his musical ability. He released self-composed digital singles such as "Scenery" and "Winter Bear" in 2019.
In September 2023, he released his first official solo mini album called "Layover". The songs belonging to "Layover" all charted domestically and internationally, consolidating his position as a solo artist.
V enlisted for compulsory military service in December 2023 and was discharged in June last year, then rejoined BTS's full activities.
