Among the young Gen Z cast participating in the movie Red Rain, Tran Gia Huy is the one who takes on the role of the youngest soldier named Tan.
Tan was the last soldier to be added to the first squad. This is also a character who plays a special role in the script.
Sharing with Lao Dong newspaper reporters, the actor said he had to go through many stressful actor selection rounds of the producer.
Actually, I was quite nervous at the time, because there were many potential faces participating in the casting. I have prepared carefully and tried to fully express the spirit of a young soldier. When I went to audition, the director asked me: "Do you know that I am an actor that I personally invited to the casting?". That question made me really appreciate it, telling myself to try to do my best so as not to disappoint director Dang Thai Huyen. When I received the news that I had been chosen, my emotions burst out, Tran Gia Huy said.
Gen Z actor commented that the character Tan is a new university student, both innocent and impatient but has a strong courageous spirit and fighting spirit.
The actor considered his role in "Red Rain" a big milestone when he first touched the cinematic stage. Stories from historical witnesses and veterans who fought in the ancient citadel helped him fully transform into the character.
After the movie "Red Rain", Gia Huy was often teased by friends that he was the author of the new concept: "1 Tan is worth 40 kg". The reason is that in the film, although playing the role of soldier Tan, Tan is the smallest child in the squad and is often teased by captain Ta (Phuong Nam) for his weight of only about 40 kg.
Gia Huy said that his most memorable memories were the scene of eating solid foods due to lack of food and the scene of sitting at the Opera House listening to a symphony written by his teammates.
After each scene, the actor felt the hardships of the film crew. But he realized that was nothing compared to the historical truth.
This is a major work on the topic of war, released on an important occasion as the whole country looks forward to the anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. I thank the audience for always paying attention and hoping that Red Rain will touch the hearts of everyone, especially the younger generation like me - so that we can understand and appreciate the sacrifice of our ancestors more. I hope that every Vietnamese person will at least watch "Red Rain" once to better understand the value of peace, love the country more, and appreciate what we have today," Tran Gia Huy shared.

Before playing the role of Tan, Tran Gia Huy played the role of a young soldier in the TV series No Time.
He also played the role of Nam Nam's Police Lieutenant in the prime-time film "Co anh can doan thanh".
Before pursuing acting, Tran Gia Huy was a national team athlete. He was supported by his family when he switched to art.
Currently, the 23-year-old actor works in parallel in the theater stage and acting in TV series and movies.
