According to the report of the Management Board of the "Khanh Hoa People Speak English" Program, phase 3 (from September 2024 to June 2025) witnessed an explosion in the scale and efficiency of club operations.
To date, 6/8 district-level localities have officially participated in the program (except Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh), with a rate of 84% of clubs operating regularly every week.
In particular, more than 700 professional volunteers have been mobilized to support teaching, an increase of more than 200 people compared to the previous period.
The total number of participants in events and movements using English reached 165,000, a 3-fold increase compared to the same period in phase 2.
The notable highlight during this period is the expansion of beneficiaries.
In addition to civil servants, students and traders..., the program has attracted workers in the tourism - service industry such as cyclo drivers, taxi drivers, restaurant and hotel staff... This contributes to improving basic communication skills with international tourists, building the image of Khanh Hoa to be dynamic, integrated and friendly.
Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the units implementing the program, especially the support of businesses, volunteers, Provincial Youth Union and agencies and departments.
Mr. Thieu suggested that in the coming time, units should continue to improve the quality of volunteer training, diversify forms of life, and focus on those working in the tourism industry. In addition, it is necessary to promote the application of information technology and online learning platforms to increase popularity and efficiency.
The program is also oriented to expand to the remaining localities, especially mountainous areas, and is ready to expand the scale of activities after Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan merge. Movement activities will be combined with cultural and tourism events with foreign elements, thereby contributing to promoting the local image.
