Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT takes effect from February 14, 2025, regulating many new points related to extra teaching and learning activities.
The Ministry of Education and Training believes that complying with regulations on extra teaching and learning will contribute to improving the quality of education and creating a healthy learning environment for students.
Here are the regulations that teachers need to pay attention to when teaching extra classes during the summer
Taking advantage of extra teaching time
Circular 29 stipulates that each subject is organized for extra teaching no more than 2 periods/week. The time, location and form of organizing extra classes must be suitable for the psychology of the age, ensuring the health of students and complying with legal regulations on security, order, safety, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting in areas with extra classes and learning.
extra classes outside of school must register for business
According to the new regulations, individuals or organizations organizing extra classes and extra learning outside of school that collect money from students must register for business in accordance with the provisions of law. In addition, it is necessary to publicize information about subjects, time, location, form, organization time, list of teachers and tuition fees before enrolling in extra classes.
No extra classes for students you are teaching
Teachers who are teaching at schools are not allowed to teach extra classes outside of school with fees from students that they are assigned to teach according to the school's education plan.
Additional teaching in schools is not allowed
Additional teaching in schools only applies to specific students such as: Students with results in subjects at the end of the semester at the level not yet achieved, students selected by the school to train excellent students, and students of the final grade who voluntarily register to review for entrance exams and graduation exams according to the school's education plan. In particular, this additional teaching is not collected from students.
Report to Principals when participating in extra teaching outside of school
Teachers who are teaching at schools when participating in extra teaching outside of school must report to the principal about the subject, location, form, and time of participation in extra teaching.
