On June 11, Thanh Xuan Secondary School (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi) announced the 6th grade enrollment score for the 2025-2026 school year.
The benchmark score announced by the school this year is 57 points. Last year, the admission score was 51.4.
The school announced that the time for candidates to complete the admission procedure was on June 12 and 13. Morning from 7:30 to 11:30, afternoon from 14:00 to 17:00.
The school requires admitted candidates to bring their application documents including: Original primary school transcripts, application documents with evidence of permanent residence in Hanoi; birth certificate copies, original priority regime confirmation documents issued by competent authorities (if any).
"In case the admission documents do not match the admission documents, the admission results of the candidate will be canceled," the school announced.
Thanh Xuan Secondary School is a high-quality school in Hanoi city. In the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school will enroll 9 classes with 360 quotas for grades 6 with the admission method of admission combined with competency assessment.
Previously, this school organized a test to assess students' abilities in 3 subjects: Math, Vietnamese, English to get admission scores.
Admission scores are calculated according to the formula of: admission scores + competency assessment scores (calculated as coefficient 2).
In which, the admission score is the academic transcript score plus priority points (if any). Before entering the competency assessment test round, students must meet the conditions, and the year-end periodic tests in Math, Vietnamese, and English must achieve a score of 9 or higher.
The total maximum admission score is 10 points, each year is calculated at a maximum of 2 points. Students who score 9 points will be deducted 0.25 points from the total admission score.
In addition, students are given priority points from 1-2 points if they are in the following cases:
Students are given 2 points if they are children of martyrs, children of war invalids and sick soldiers with an unemployment rate of 81% or more; children of people granted a "Certificate of policy beneficiary as a war invalid but granted a certificate of policy beneficiary as a war invalid with a reduced working capacity of 81% or more"; children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals; children of revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945; children of revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to August 1945
Students will be awarded 1.5 points if they are one of the following subjects: Children of the Armed Forces Heroes, children of Heroes of Labor, children of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, children of war invalids and war invalids with reduced working capacity under 81%; children of people granted a "Certificate of enjoyment of the policy as war invalids and people granted a certificate of enjoyment of the policy as war invalids with reduced working capacity of 81% or more".
Students will be given 1.0 points if they are one of the following subjects: Have a father or mother who is an ethnic minority; ethnic minorities, students in areas with special socio-economic conditions.
