On the morning of November 9, Danang University of Technology held a ceremony to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Information Technology Department.
At the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Rector of the University of Science and Technology, said that the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang has become the cradle of training high-quality human resources for the entire Central region. Each year, the University enrolls about 3,500 students for undergraduate majors, along with doctoral and master's majors. Of which, Information Technology is considered one of the key training majors.
"The Faculty of Information Technology is one of the pioneering units of the school in cooperation activities with businesses. The faculty also focuses on scientific research, regularly organizing international and national seminars and conferences on information technology and related fields," said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu.
According to Mr. Hieu, the tasks will become increasingly difficult, requiring the leadership and all staff and lecturers in the department to continuously innovate the curriculum, content, and teaching methods in a modern direction, shifting from imparting knowledge to developing students' skills, and equipping students with the best luggage when they graduate. Complete the system of textbooks, documents, and teaching and learning equipment to meet the scale and requirements of training high-quality human resources, affirming its position as the most prestigious address for training information technology human resources in the Central Highlands region.
