The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued the score level for candidates eligible for scholarship policies according to Decree 179 for the 2025 and 2026 enrollment years.
The list of 15 groups of basic science, key engineering and strategic technology majors eligible for scholarship policies includes: Biology; Applied Biology; Materials Sciences; Earth Sciences; Geological Engineering, Geophysics and Surveying; Mathematics; Statistics; Computers; Information Technology; Mining Engineering; Mechanical and Mechanical Engineering; Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering; Chemical, Materials, Metallurgy and Environment Engineering; Technical Physics; Construction.
In 2025, the scholarship admission score ranged from 22.5-24.35. Among them, the technical physics group had the highest admission score of 24.35; Materials Science and Computer Science together 24.3 points...
For the 2026 enrollment year, the scholarship admission scores of 15 major groups also range from 22.5-24.35. In which, the major groups of Materials Science; Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering; Technical Physics also take a score of 24.35.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that this score level is applied to determine that learners belong to groups that do not exceed 30% of candidates with the highest scores according to each industry group. Training institutions base on this score level to determine that learners are eligible for scholarship policies.
According to Decree 179 of the Government, students studying in basic science, key techniques, and strategic technology programs will be supported with 3.7-5.5 million VND/month.
The scholarship will be maintained annually, based on academic results, credit accumulation progress and research results of learners.
