The above information was shared by a representative of the Ministry of Education and Training at the 2025 Enrollment and Career Orientation Consulting Festival held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, on the morning of March 16.
Sharing at the consultation, Mr. Hoang Minh Son - Deputy Minister of Education and Training - said that this year, many universities have changed their admission combinations, so the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training are also flexible.

It is expected that schools must convert admission methods to the same scale. The Deputy Minister of Education and Training said that this comes from the current reality of two benchmarks: According to high school graduation exam scores and other benchmarks (academic transcript scores or scores for thinking assessment test results, capacity assessment).
"Therefore, it is very necessary to convert or determine that these two benchmarks are equivalent, to ensure fairness for candidates so that their abilities are equivalent" - the Deputy Minister said and added that the Ministry of Education and Training is working with universities to develop guidelines to have unity in the spirit of ensuring diversity and autonomy of schools.
Regarding this year's graduation exam, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Education Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training shared that the exam closely follows the 2018 GDPT program in the direction of developing qualities and abilities. Candidates need to understand the knowledge and skills in the program with many textbooks, especially practical and applied issues.
"This year's exam will have differentiated questions that require contact to solve practical problems. Therefore, during the review process, students need to get used to reasoning, learning, and setting up situations in production life... to meet the requirements of the exam well" - he said and added that this is the key point for differentiation.
In addition, the noteworthy point that Mr. Ha noted to candidates is that the knowledge in this year's high school graduation exam is mainly in grade 12, but still in grade 10 and 11. The questions can be implemented in two forms, either knowledge of grade 10 and 11, located independently; or knowledge of grade 12 and related grade 10, and 11 to promote the ability and differentiate candidates.
"Students need to focus on grade 12 knowledge but also pay attention to the parts that can be contacted by grades 10 and 11 to prepare well" - he said.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha added about this year's graduation score, the learning process score (license score) will account for 50%, while last year it was only 30%. Therefore, students' learning points during the learning process are very important.

Also sharing about the new points in university admission, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training - said that candidates who are admitted by considering academic records should note that this year will use the learning results of all 3 school years, that is, considering the entire score of the second semester of grade 12, instead of only each semester 1 point like last year.
At the same time, to increase admission opportunities and ensure fairness for candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training does not limit admission combinations. Therefore, in addition to traditional admission combinations, schools can have new combinations.
