The Ministry said that, according to statistics as of 5:45 PM on July 13, there were 797,722 candidates registered aspirations, of which 420,138 candidates chose STEM majors. The total number of registered aspirations is 6,333,326; of which, the number of aspirations registered for admission to STEM majors is 2,093,942.
According to the 2026 enrollment plan, candidates complete the online admission registration process from 8:00 AM on July 2, 2026 to 5:00 PM on July 14, 2026. Thus, candidates only have 1 day left to register and adjust their aspirations.
Regarding the incident at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School exam site, the Ministry of Education and Training said that functional agencies are urgently investigating, verifying, and clarifying according to regulations.
While there is no conclusion from the competent authority, candidates at this exam site will still register for admission according to the general admission plan. In case it is determined that there are candidates violating the Exam Regulations or Admission Regulations, the handling will be carried out in accordance with current regulations, corresponding to the nature and severity of violations" - the Ministry of Education and Training affirmed.
According to regulations, the process of summarizing registration dossiers and reviewing candidate aspirations takes place from July 15 to the end of August 3, 2026 before higher education institutions implement the virtual filtering and official admission process.
