On July 1, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores for 2026. This year, the whole country has 4,208 scores of 10 in mathematics, of which the average score is 5.65 points (an increase of 0.87 compared to 2025).
Tuyen Quang province has 154 perfect scores in Math. When analyzing the score distribution of Math in this province, surprisingly, the registration numbers with high score density in Math are concentrated in a continuous range. Notably, there are up to 147 exam papers with perfect scores - accounting for more than 95% of the province's perfect scores - concentrated with very high density in the continuous registration number range from 080163xx to 080166xx (including 328 candidates).

The number of 10s appeared with high density, interspersed with levels of 9.75; 9.5; 9.25 and 9 points.
In addition to 147 exam papers with perfect scores, most of the exam papers in this score range achieved from 9 to 10 points, the average score reached 9.55, accounting for over 91%. There are 299/328 students who achieved 9 points or higher in Math.
Meanwhile, the remaining 7 scores of 10 of this locality appeared scattered and alone in very distant registration numbers: 08002xxx, 0805xxx, 08013xxx, 08014xxx.
If shown on the score distribution chart according to the registration number, this range almost forms a "score plateau", the average score area almost disappears.

The noteworthy thing is not that there are many perfect scores, because any locality has students with perfect scores. What makes this number range different is the scale and level of concentration.
According to Lao Dong's source, 147/154 candidates who achieved 10 points in high school graduation Math in Tuyen Quang province all came from 1 school - Tuyen Quang Specialized High School. Nearly 300 students of this school from 9 Math points or higher.
Answering Lao Dong newspaper on the morning of July 3rd about the above incident, Mr. Vu Dinh Hung - Director of Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training said - this morning, the Department is working with the Ministry of Education and Training to verify and clarify information.
The case will continue to be updated by Lao Dong.
