Appointment of Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh as Deputy Minister of Education and Training

Vinh Long - The Prime Minister has just signed a decision to receive and appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.

On March 11, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 425/QD-TTg on receiving and appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh was born on October 19, 1978, native of Phu Loc commune, Tam Binh, Vinh Long province (old). She holds a Bachelor of English Language, Master of English Teaching Methods and Doctor of Educational Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy.

Before being appointed as Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh was a Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee.

During her work, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh has been attached to the education sector in the locality for many years. She has held positions such as Deputy Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem Specialized High School, Principal of Vinh Long High School, Head of Vinh Long City Department of Education and Training.

After that, she held the positions of Deputy Director, Director and Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Long Department of Education and Training before being elected as Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh was once a National Assembly deputy of the XIV term 2016–2021 and the XV term 2021–2026.

Currently, the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training include Acting Minister Hoang Minh Son; Deputy Ministers Pham Ngoc Thuong, Nguyen Van Phuc, Le Quan and Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh.
