On March 10, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh and a working delegation visited and worked with leaders of Vinh Long province.
At the working session, leaders of Vinh Long province briefly reported on the implementation of state management of construction in the area after the merger.
In which, the province provides information on road and waterway transport infrastructure systems; planning, architectural and urban development management; construction investment management; housing and real estate market.
Vinh Long province also proposed development orientations for the construction sector in the coming time and proposed that the Ministry of Construction coordinate with ministries and sectors to submit to the Government and National Assembly for consideration and allocation of central budget capital for the 2026-2030 period to soon deploy Co Chien 2 bridge and Cua Dai bridge, striving to complete them before 2030 according to the direction of the Prime Minister.

In addition, the province proposed to pay attention to investing in upgrading and expanding important national highways passing through the area such as QL57, QL57B, QL53 and QL54 to meet the increasing transportation needs and strengthen connectivity with provinces in the Mekong Delta region. The province also proposed to support the completion of the Quan Chanh Bo canal bank protection embankment system, and consider adding overpasses at the National Highway 60 intersection.
Speaking at the working session, Minister Tran Hong Minh requested members of the working delegation to exchange, clarify and answer the province's recommendations. The Minister also requested investors who are implementing projects in the area, especially expressway projects, to continue to closely coordinate with localities to accelerate the implementation progress, soon put the project into operation, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.
The Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction Office to summarize the opinions and recommendations at the working session to continue researching, advising on solutions and removing local obstacles in the coming time.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Van Lau received the Minister's direction and said that the province will continue to direct departments and branches to implement programs and plans to develop transport infrastructure, connectivity infrastructure and social housing.
The province will also drastically resolve issues under its authority, and at the same time hopes that the Ministry of Construction and central ministries and sectors will continue to pay attention to and support Vinh Long in implementing key projects serving socio-economic development.
