Training associated with the demand for high-quality human resources in the Mekong Delta
According to the Acting Minister of Education and Training (MOET), our country is entering a new stage of development with high requirements for human resource quality, science and technology capacity and innovation.
Higher education must become a direct driving force for economic growth, including: providing high-quality human resources for key economic sectors; creating new knowledge and technology; promoting innovation in businesses and society.

That requirement poses a great responsibility for the ĐHCT in the coming time. Mr. Hoang Minh Son requested the ĐHCT to focus on well implementing the orientations and key tasks.
Strongly innovate programs and training methods in a modern, interdisciplinary direction, associated with the practical needs of the region and the country, strongly apply digital technology and artificial intelligence in training activities; build a number of talent training programs, prioritizing key areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor technology, biotechnology and life sciences; closely link the school's training activities with the human resource needs of businesses and the socio-economic development strategy of localities in the Mekong Delta (Mekong Delta).

Promote scientific research, technology transfer, closely linked to the needs of rapid and sustainable development of the Mekong Delta region, especially in high-tech agriculture, biotechnology, green economy, circular economy, and climate change adaptation.
The ĐHCT must strive to become a center of innovation and creativity of the Mekong Delta, a reliable policy consulting center for localities in the region.
Research solutions for the Mekong Delta region
Currently, Can Tho City is striving towards the goal of becoming the central urban area of the Mekong Delta region, with a development orientation towards ecology, civilization, and modernity. Therefore, Can Tho City Party Secretary Le Quang Tung believes that the role of ĐHCT becomes even more important.
At the Anniversary Ceremony, he also requested the ĐHCT to focus on strengthening coordination in training high-quality human resources, especially in areas where Can Tho City has a large demand such as: information technology, logistics, high-tech agriculture, urban management, environment and sustainable development.

ĐHCT needs to promote scientific research cooperation, policy advice and technology transfer to directly serve socio-economic development programs and projects of Can Tho City; especially solutions to adapt to climate change, resource management, green economic development and circular economy.
Mr. Tung believes that becoming a multi-disciplinary "University" according to a modern model needs to be associated with attracting international students and experts to study and work, making Can Tho truly become a bright spot in international education in the region.
On this occasion, ĐHCT was also honored to be awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Can Tho City and provinces in the Mekong Delta region, recognizing the school's contributions. Along with that, the Decision was announced and Labor Medals were awarded to individuals.
