In the last days of July, the construction site of Muong Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School is always bustling with the sound of machines.
At the project site, workers and equipment are mobilized, organizing many construction teams at the same time to complete the remaining items, ensuring progress according to the plan.
According to reporters' records, the rough construction of most building blocks has been completed.

Classrooms, administration areas, dormitories, dining rooms, and multi-purpose houses are being focused on building, plastering, installing electrical and plumbing systems and completing interiors.
To date, the total construction volume of the entire project has reached over 85%. The ground leveling has reached over 80% of the filling volume, while the school blocks, elementary school and subject classes are being accelerated in completion progress.
The Muong Khuong Primary and Secondary Boarding School project is invested on an area of nearly 5 hectares, including 9 building blocks with a scale of 28 classrooms, meeting the learning and living needs of about 980 students.

The total investment of the project after adjustment is 255 billion VND, an increase of 40 billion VND compared to the initial decision.
Not only focusing on construction, the locality is also urgently preparing conditions for the school to operate immediately after completion.
According to the leader of Muong Khuong Commune People's Committee, the locality has developed a plan to organize the apparatus, arrange management staff, teachers and school staff.
The enrollment of nearly 1,000 students is being implemented; conditions for studying, living, kitchen, dormitory and educational activities are also being synchronously prepared.

The local viewpoint is that the preparation work must keep up with the completion of the project. When handed over, the school must be ready to operate, not to be delayed due to teacher shortage or lack of operating conditions," said the leader of Muong Khuong Commune People's Committee.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project implementation is implemented according to the policy of the Politburo on investing in building schools in border communes and the direction of the Prime Minister on accelerating the progress of building a system of inter-level general schools in the land border area.

Lao Cai province is implementing the 100 days and nights campaign to complete 4 boarding schools in border communes including Y Ty, Pha Long, A Mu Sung and Muong Khuong before August 30, 2026, ensuring sufficient conditions to organize teaching right from the 2026 - 2027 school year.
The investor and contractor are required to implement the "6 clear" motto, and at the same time mobilize maximum manpower and equipment, organize "3 shifts, 4 teams" construction, both ensuring progress and meeting requirements for quality, labor safety and environmental protection.
