In the early days of March, present at the extended Tran Hung Dao Avenue project, reporters recorded the urgent working atmosphere throughout the route.
The sound of excavators, dump trucks, and rollers vibrating in harmony with the hustle and bustle of workers creates a vibrant construction picture, stretching from the end of the existing Tran Hung Dao street to the Ngoi Bo stream area, Gia Phu commune.

The project has a total length of 2.5km, with a total investment of more than 170 billion VND. This is an important traffic route, contributing to completing urban infrastructure, expanding development space towards Gia Phu and synchronously connecting with the main axes of the old Lao Cai city.
Through observation, many construction teams are organized in parallel. At the construction site, convoys of trucks transporting soil and rocks line up continuously in and out.
At the roadbed locations, rollers operate at full capacity to ensure tightness according to technical requirements. In the sewer area, precast components have been completed and are being installed synchronously.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Vu Trung Kien - Deputy Director of the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the unit has handed over the site at the end of the route for the contractor to deploy K98 embankment and construct the roadbed.
According to the initial plan, the project was expected to be completed in October, but the investor is directing to shorten the progress by at least 2 months.
We focus on removing the remaining obstacles, and at the same time request the contractor to increase manpower and equipment to speed up construction volume in favorable weather conditions," Mr. Kien informed.

Up to now, the project has completed all precast components; the roadbed construction has reached 2.1/2.67km. Accumulated value of completed volume reached over 70% of the total contract value.
The construction contractor, Phuc Binh Co., Ltd., is mobilizing maximum resources at the construction site.
Mr. Trinh Minh Tuan - a technical officer of the unit - said that the team of drivers and mechanics alone has more than 40 people, along with about 30 workers in charge of constructing sewer and ditch components.
“We arrange continuous construction according to each item, taking advantage of favorable weather to work overtime when necessary. The goal is to ensure the progress and quality of the project as required by the investor,” Mr. Tuan said.

When completed, extended Tran Hung Dao Avenue will create an additional smooth traffic axis, reduce the load on the existing route, and at the same time open up room for urban, service and commercial development for the area.
On the construction site, each layer of roadbed is gradually being completed, and each section of culvert and ditch is installed firmly.
The bustling construction pace in the first days of the year not only reflects the positive progress, but also expresses expectations for a new, modern road, contributing to changing the urban appearance of Lao Cai in the coming time.
