On September 10, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has directed departments, branches, and localities to strengthen strict management of the supply of semi-boarding meals for students.
According to the direction of Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Hung, the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones, according to their functions, tasks and managed areas, urgently coordinate with the health sector and relevant agencies and units to strengthen strict management of providing semi-boarding meals for students.
Units are required to regularly monitor the quality, supply time, quantity and origin of food; promptly detect and rectify shortcomings and deficiencies, ensuring that semi-boarding organization is carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations.
Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Health to strengthen guidance, inspection, and supervision of food safety assurance in schools, especially the provision of semi-boarding meals, ensuring timeliness, efficiency and compliance with regulations.
Previously, Lao Dong reported that images of dishes for preschool children, believed to be at a school in Dien Dien commune, appeared on social networks.
According to the posted images, some meals had quite little meat and eggs. After the incident was shared on social networks, Dien Dien commune authorities intervened to inspect and make a record.
The working delegation also rectified Sen Hong Private Kindergarten regarding the provision of meals for children.
