On May 16, the Institute for Applied Linguistics Research of Bac Nha organized a specialized seminar with the theme "Digital Publishing - Electronic Books - Distribution Platform and Digital Ecosystem", to exchange solutions to build a digital publishing ecosystem and apply technology in education.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Pham Quynh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Education Publishing House, said that digital transformation in publishing is not only limited to document digitization but is a comprehensive restructuring process from operating models, personnel to content and data management methods.

According to Mr. Quynh, the publishing industry is shifting through three stages including digital publishing, integrated publishing and smart publishing. In which, the new trend is the development of multi-platform learning materials, the application of AI and big data to personalize user experiences, and forecast market demand.
Learning materials need to be converted from static printed books to highly interactive "5D learning materials", integrated with multimedia such as audio, video, digital data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
One of the contents emphasized is the requirement to build a "double editor" team - both with editorial expertise and understanding of digital technology, data and AI to develop multi-media content.
Agreeing with this view, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Mai - Institute for Applied Linguistics, Founder of TMEDU, believes that digital transformation in education needs to be seen as a long-term strategy, not just bringing lectures to the online environment but restructuring learning materials in a multi-platform direction, integrating videos, interactive learning materials and AI technology.

According to her, the application of learning management systems (LMS), AI assistants and synchronous digital platforms can help connect learning materials, tests and training, thereby personalizing the learning process and improving management efficiency.
Sharing the practical implementation model, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Director of Thanhmaihsk Chinese Language Training System said that the training unit has developed a digital learning ecosystem including ebooks, video lectures, flashcards, interactive exercises and online training platforms.
In addition to learning materials, a synchronous online testing system and LMS platform are also being deployed to support classroom management, monitor student progress and organize mock exams based on reality simulations.
Opinions at the seminar suggested that, in the context of strong digital transformation, education and publishing need to shift from the mindset of providing individual products to developing knowledge services and the digital learning ecosystem.
