When selecting suppliers, the school's leadership has discussed and reached a common consensus. In which, priority is given to selecting reputable contractors with full food safety certification and clear origin.
Each branch has established a Self-Management Team to inspect and supervise from the stage of receiving raw materials to processing according to the process and storing food samples in accordance with regulations. Ms. Ly Hong Tam - Vice Principal of Ninh Kieu Kindergarten, in charge of Bong Sen branch - said that the selection of food suppliers is carried out according to regulations and under the direction and management of Ninh Kieu Kindergarten, ensuring that the supplier has complete legal documents, clear food origins and meets food safety requirements.
In the process of implementation, the branch coordinates to strictly control from receiving, inspecting food, processing, dividing meals to organizing for children to eat; implementing 3-step inspection, storing food samples and regularly checking hygiene and food safety," Ms. Tam said.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vo Hong Lam - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City - said that in the 2026 - 2027 school year, the Department will continue to direct educational institutions to strictly implement food safety and hygiene requirements, especially at schools that organize semi-boarding meals and have canteens.
According to Mr. Lam, schools must ensure food safety in the process of organizing semi-boarding meals; and at the same time coordinate with the health sector and localities to implement measures to prevent and control diseases that are likely to occur in schools, especially during the school start and the beginning of the new school year.
