Recently, Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Provincial Police and the Provincial Military Command to be the investors of 4/5 investment projects to build Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary Schools (Inter-level Boarding Schools) in 5 border communes. These are the next 5 schools to be implemented out of a total of 15 newly built schools in Dien Bien.
Specifically, Dien Bien Provincial Police are assigned to be the investor of the Inter-level Boarding School project in Muong Pon and Na Sang communes. Dien Bien Provincial Military Command is the investor of the inter-level boarding school project in Muong Cha and Muong Nhe communes.
The inter-level boarding school in Na Hy commune is invested by the Project Management Board of Civil and Industrial Works of Dien Bien province.
To date, Dien Bien province has been and is building 10 multi-level boarding school projects in border communes. Among them, Si Pa Phin multi-level boarding school (Si Pa Phin commune) was inaugurated and put into operation from January 31, 2026. This is the first project to reach the finish line in the campaign to build 248 schools in border areas according to the policy of the Politburo.
The remaining 9 schools have completed investment procedures, selected contractors and are simultaneously implementing the main items, such as ground leveling, foundation and school structure.

Along with that, the province has reviewed and identified the construction location and investment scale of the remaining 5 Inter-level Boarding Schools, with a total capital demand of about 1,400 billion VND.
On February 27, leaders of Muong Cha Commune People's Committee, Dien Bien province said that the inter-level boarding school in the commune will be built in Na In village with a total area of more than 6 hectares. Currently, site clearance and conditions to ensure the groundbreaking ceremony are being completed, ensuring that the ceremony takes place solemnly, safely and on schedule.
Previously, speaking at the Inauguration Ceremony of Si Pa Phin Inter-level Boarding School (January 31, 2026), General Secretary To Lam affirmed that, to date, the first 100 schools in border communes of 18 provinces and cities have been started.

In which, many projects are being implemented with rapid progress and guaranteed quality; most schools are constructing on schedule, striving to complete before August 30, 2026 to put them into use from the 2026-2027 school year.
At the inauguration ceremony, General Secretary To Lam officially launched the simultaneous deployment of the construction of the remaining 148 inter-level boarding schools, out of a total of 248 schools in 248 land border communes.
