Responding to the movement "Tet tree planting forever remembers Uncle Ho", recently at Cha Nua stadium, Muong Cha commune, Dien Bien province, more than 70 officials, civil servants, public employees and workers participated in taking care of coffee nurseries.
The forces participated in weeding, cleaning the nursery, checking soil moisture, cleaning the nursery area and taking care of seedlings to ensure progress for the 500 ha coffee development plan in the area by 2026.
The entire number of incubated coffee seeds will be donated to more than 450 households to organize planting according to the registered area.
In Muong Luan commune, Dien Bien province, the nursery is more than 1 hectare wide with about 1.2 million seedlings growing very well after more than a month of planting.
According to the plan, by June 2026, all seedlings will be released from the garden to be planted on an area of about 500 hectares, and a concentrated coffee production area will be formed.

According to leaders of Muong Mun commune, Dien Bien province, coffee cultivation brings stable and long-term income to people, especially with weather conditions suitable for development, planting and care.
It is known that at the nursery of the Hom Hoc village cultural house, Muong Mun commune, there is currently an area of 1,600 m2, these seedlings have been planted and cared for for more than 3 months, and are currently growing well.
According to the plan, in May and June 2026, the above seedlings will be planted on an area of about 800 hectares, forming a concentrated coffee production area.
Directly inspecting the early spring sowing work in Muong Mun commune, Mr. Lo Van Cuong - Standing Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the proactive spirit of localities in preparing seed sources.
Mr. Cuong also suggested that communes focus on pest and disease prevention so that seedlings achieve the highest quality when widely planted.

According to the content of the draft adjusted plan, Dien Bien province aims to become a fairly developed province in the midlands and mountainous areas of the North by 2030. In the agricultural development plan, coffee is identified as a spearhead.
Dien Bien advocates managing and taking good care of existing areas, replanting old areas and promoting sowing from headland trees. In particular, intercropping coffee with macadamia trees, fruit trees and promoting the construction of processing plants in Tuan Giao, Na Son, Na Hy...

According to Mr. Lo Van Cuong, implementing the Resolution of the 15th Dien Bien Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, it will strive to bring the total coffee tree area of the province to about 20,000 hectares.
However, with the current productivity and economic value, I am sure that from now to 2030, the area will reach about 25,000 hectares" - Mr. Lo Van Cuong said.
To realize this goal, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested localities with conditions to continue to propagate and mobilize people to expand coffee planting and care areas.
