On August 12, according to Da Nang City People's Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh signed an official dispatch on urgently completing construction and putting inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in land border communes into use.
Regarding enrollment and operation, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training (GD&ĐT) to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of border communes (Hung Son, Tay Giang, A Vuong, Dak Pring, La De, La Eee) to prepare a plan to simultaneously inaugurate schools on the opening day of the new school year (September 5th).
In particular, city leaders directed that enrollment work must be clear and transparent, prioritizing the right subjects who are students far from schools, far from centers, with difficult family circumstances and belonging to vulnerable groups. The city emphasized strictly prohibiting and absolutely not allowing the situation of "circumventing boarding criteria" or racing for "boarding slots" during the review process.
Regarding infrastructure progress, Da Nang City People's Committee requests the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of civil, industrial and technical infrastructure projects to focus highly, mobilize maximum resources in the final sprint to complete construction on schedule on August 25. The Project Management Board must be fully responsible for the quality and progress of the project.
To ensure this milestone, contractors are required to work overtime, increase shifts (construction "3 shifts, 4 shifts"), organize continuous work 24/24 hours on the construction site. The city also directs to review and be ready to transfer skilled workers, machinery, and materials from other projects in the area to support the "final sprint" for border school projects, absolutely not to let a shortage of complete human resources occur.
In addition, the City People's Committee noted that for schools that do not ensure the conditions of facilities to organize on-site cooking, the People's Committees of communes must have appropriate solutions to provide standard meals for students. City leaders thoroughly grasp that there must be absolutely no situation of reducing or reducing the meal portions of students.
