On July 8, Can Tho University announced the entrance threshold (floor score) for regular university admission in 2026. The floor score for more than 120 regular university training majors ranges from 15 - 22.75 points.
In which, Computer Engineering major (Semiconductor Microchip Design) has the highest floor score of 22.75 points. At the same time, accompanied by the condition that Mathematics belongs to the group of 20% of candidates with the highest Math scores in the country (will be updated when there is official information from the Ministry of Education and Training).
According to the announcement, the floor score is determined on a 30-point scale corresponding to each admission code. The floor score is equal between admission combinations and does not distinguish the priority order of the aspiration registered by the candidate.
The floor score applies generally to the methods of considering high school graduation exam scores (THPT) in 2026, considering high school transcripts and considering V-SAT scores (record scores and V-SAT scores are converted to be equivalent to the high school graduation exam scores in 2026).
Candidates registering for admission must have graduated from high school (or equivalent) from 2026 or earlier and have a total score of 3 subjects in the 2026 High School Graduation Exam according to the admission combination (or using Math, Literature and another subject) reaching from 15.0 points. At the same time, for each major, each admission method, candidates must meet separate entrance conditions according to regulations.
