On July 7, Can Tho University (ĐHCT) said that the unit has successfully organized 7 rounds of Computerized University Entrance Assessment (V-SAT) exams in 2026 according to the set plan.
Accordingly, the exam periods are organized continuously from January to July, creating conditions for candidates to proactively choose participation times suitable for their study and admission plans.
Statistics show that the scale of the exam has clearly increased. From more than 5,000 candidates in phase 1 (over 12,000 exam subjects) to more than 20,000 candidates in phase 6 (over 50,000 exam subjects) and nearly 18,000 candidates in phase 7 (over 48,000 exam subjects).
Overall for the year, the exam attracted more than 95,000 registered candidates, with over 230,000 exam subjects, becoming one of the largest scale computer competency assessment exams in the country.
Notably, after only one year, the scale of the exam has grown remarkably compared to more than 28,000 candidates in 2025, reflecting the increasing attraction of the competency assessment enrollment method.
To meet the sharp increase in the number of candidates, from the 3rd exam phase, ĐHCT has proactively organized 3 exam sessions each day (morning, afternoon and evening), helping candidates flexibly choose exam times, especially convenient for those who are far away or have other study schedules.
At the same time, the school synchronously deploys plans on facilities, technology infrastructure, computer systems, exam supervisory staff, supervision, guidance and support for candidates, ensuring the exam takes place safely, seriously, objectively, in accordance with regulations and creating the most favorable conditions for candidates.
Besides the increasingly expanding scale of organization, the V-SAT exam in 2026 also marked a prominent mark on the quality of test results. According to statistics, the University of Political Science has 61 exam papers achieving 150/150 points in all subjects.
These results not only reflect the outstanding abilities of many candidates participating in the exam at ĐHCT but also show the effectiveness of the new orientation capacity assessment method: both ensuring differentiation and creating conditions for excellent candidates to be recognized as worthy.
In 2026, the V-SAT exam will continue to be reviewed, updated and adjusted by the National Center for Testing and Education Quality Assessment according to the 2018 General Education Program. The exam questions are designed to assess competence, enhance classification ability, focus on thinking, application skills and problem-solving instead of just checking knowledge memorization.
V-SAT results are used by ĐHCT in the method of admission to nearly 130 regular university training programs, with more than 11,000 enrollment quotas in 2026. Exam scores are applied to many industry groups such as agriculture, aquaculture, engineering - technology, pedagogy, natural sciences, economics, languages, social sciences and humanities... , helping candidates promote personal strengths and expand opportunities to choose suitable majors.
