Ha Long University awarded the Labor Medal of the Lao PDR

Quang Ninh - On May 11, Ha Long University held a ceremony to receive the Labor Medal awarded by the Lao PDR.

This is an award to recognize the school's contributions in human resource training for Laos.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Bun Luom Ma Ni Vong - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Luang Prabang province and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee.

Implementing the cooperation policy between Quang Ninh province and northern Laos provinces since 2012, Ha Long University was assigned the task of training Vietnamese and specialized training for Lao students. In recent years, the school has trained 14 courses with a total of 850 Lao students learning Vietnamese and 325 specialized students.

In addition to training, the school always pays attention to taking care of learning and living conditions, taking care of health; organizing many cultural exchange activities, supporting Lao students to integrate into the learning and living environment in Vietnam. Thereby contributing to fostering the special friendship between the two nations of Vietnam and Laos.

Being awarded the Labor Medal by the Lao PDR is a great honor and pride for the collective of officials, lecturers, workers and students of the school, and also a vivid proof of the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Authorized to award the Labor Medal of the Lao PDR, Mr. Bun Luom Ma Ni Vong - Secretary of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee - highly appreciated the contributions of Ha Long University in training human resources for the Northern provinces of Laos in the past time. The school not only creates favorable conditions for Lao students to study and research, but also pays much attention to their daily lives, helping them feel secure in studying and integrating into the new environment.

Mr. Bun Luom Ma Ni Vong affirmed that many Lao students after graduating from Ha Long University have grown up and promoted their abilities well at agencies, units, and localities of the friendly country, contributing to promoting cooperative relations between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Quang Ninh province and the northern provinces of Laos in particular.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luang Prabang also expressed his belief that in the coming time, Ha Long University will continue to promote its strengths, improve the quality of training, expand educational cooperation and continue to accompany localities of Laos in the work of training high-quality human resources; thereby contributing to fostering the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos to be forever green and eternally sustainable.
