In recent days, some accounts claiming to be parents and relatives have appeared on social networks reflecting that candidates have received admission notices to the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University but were later not notified of admission. Even, there are cases where candidates have rented rooms in Hue, paid money, and only received this notice when completing admission procedures.
Talking to PV of Lao Dong Newspaper, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Nhung - Rector of Foreign Language University, Hue University - said that the school has met with parents and candidates to explain the reasons. At the same time, the school has made a list and sent it to Hue University for consideration and resolution according to its authority.
Mr. Le Van Tuong Lan - Head of the Training and Student Affairs Department of Hue University explained that Hue University implements admission, virtual filtering and announces admission results according to the plan, data and admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The issuance of admission notices is carried out based on the admission results at the time of announcement, based on data from the General Enrollment Support System of the Ministry, admission registration data of Hue University, information provided by candidates and related data.
For some majors with conditions or auxiliary criteria that have been announced in the Admissions Information of Hue University, the review does not only stop at the virtual filtering step on the system but also includes the stage of comparing original documents, evidence and admission conditions when candidates complete admission procedures. This content is also stated on the admission notice: admission results are announced based on relevant data sources; "cases of errors (if any) will be resolved according to current regulations".
In the process of comparing admission documents, a few cases arose where candidates did not meet the secondary criteria or mandatory conditions of the training major. Hue University has contacted relevant candidates directly to provide information, explain the basis for resolution and support to ensure their rights according to regulations.
Hue University proactively reviews candidates' next aspirations. In case candidates have a subsequent aspiration in Hue University and meet the admission conditions, the school will consider and resolve it according to regulations. If candidates no longer have a suitable aspiration at Hue University, the unit will send a document to the training institution where candidates registered their next aspiration, requesting coordination and creating conditions for consideration according to the admission regulations and data on the system.
