According to the decisions just issued, 6 member schools of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) have rectors appointed or reappointed for a new term, including: University of Science and Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Health Sciences, University of Information Technology, University of Natural Sciences and International University.
In which, Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong continues to hold the position of Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for a 5-year term.
Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan continues to be appointed as Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
At the University of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Phan Bach Thang was appointed to continue holding the position of Rector from June 1st with a term of 5 years.
For the University of Information Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang was appointed as Rector for a 5-year term from June 1. Previously, he was the Vice Rector in charge of the school from December 2025.
In the same period, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Le Quan was continued to be appointed as Rector of the University of Natural Sciences for the new term; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thang was appointed as Rector of the International University with a term of 5 years.
