Dak Lak mobilizes 500 workers to construct border school

Near the 2026 Lunar New Year, the construction atmosphere at the construction sites of the Inter-level Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School in the border communes of Buon Don, Ia R've, Ia Lop (Dak Lak) is still urgent to ensure progress.

At the construction site, hundreds of workers and machinery systems are working urgently to "reach the finish line" in the third quarter of 2026.

Reality records show that in the past two months, prolonged heavy rain and a large workload have caused many difficulties for the construction process of contractors. However, overcoming obstacles, contractors have all achieved over 25% of the workload. Currently, more than 500 workers and hundreds of machines and equipment have been mobilized to construct 3 projects in 3 localities.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Investment and Construction of Schools for Border Communes, affirmed that the projects are of particular importance in building an inter-level boarding school system in the border area; and at the same time bring many values to the cause of education, social security and ensuring national defense and security.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested relevant units to continue to accelerate the construction progress, strengthen coordination, promptly remove difficulties, and strive to complete the works and put them into stable use by the third quarter of 2026 at the latest.

According to research, Buon Don Inter-level Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School will be newly built in Thong Nhat village with a total investment of more than 158.6 billion VND, with a scale of 1,155 students, including boarding and semi-boarding students.

Ia R've Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School is upgraded and expanded from the Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School, with a total investment of 126.7 billion VND, with a scale of 1,125 students.

Ia Lop Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School is upgraded and expanded from the facilities of Nguyen Trai Primary School and Tran Hung Dao Secondary School, with a total investment of 105 billion VND, with a scale of 980 students.

According to Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, the simultaneous implementation of 3 projects is of great significance, demonstrating the special concern of the Party, State and Government for the cause of education in border areas and ethnic minority areas, contributing to creating a better learning environment for children at the forefront of the Fatherland.
