On July 16, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores. Immediately after that, a number of universities announced the benchmark scores for 2025.
2. FPT University
According to the announcement, the admission score for the regular university system based on the results of the high school graduation exam according to the flexible mix of FPT University (FPTU) is 18.5 points.
In addition, for first-generation candidates (the first person in the family including parents or sponsors and all siblings studying at university), the school announced the admission standard score as 17 points.
Thus, candidates taking the 2025 high school graduation exam with a total score of Mathematics and two subjects and a priority score according to regulations must reach 18.5 points (or 17 points for candidates of generation 1).
This score is applied to all training majors and facilities of FPT University nationwide in the 2025 enrollment period.
In addition to admission based on high school graduation exam results and direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, FPT University also considers transcripts, competency assessment test scores of Hanoi National University or Ho Chi Minh City National University and many other methods.
For considering academic records, candidates need to achieve Top50 (or Top55 for generation 1 candidates) on the SchoolRank system, and have a total score of Math and two elective subjects of the second semester of grade 12 from 21 points. Optional subjects include: Literature, Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic & Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology.
With the method of considering the scores of the competency assessment exam, candidates need to achieve 78 points in the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University or 653 points from Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Other methods applied to candidates: graduated from foreign high school; have international certificates (Aptech HDSE/ADSE, Arena ADIM, Skilling, Jetking...); graduated from affiliated programs such as BTEC HND, Melbourne Polytechnic, FUNiX, FPT Polytechnic; graduated from high school at schools under the FPT Education Organization. These subjects are considered equivalent to the entrance threshold of the 2025 high school academic results admission method.
After knowing the high school graduation exam scores on July 16, candidates have 10 days to submit an application if they want to. The deadline for re-examination is July 25. Candidates will receive a certificate of exam results, a temporary graduation certificate, and a high school transcript no later than July 22.
According to the plan, from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, candidates will register and adjust their admission wishes without limiting the number of times within the prescribed time. Candidates pay the admission fee from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5.
From August 16 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, the Ministry of Education and Training will organize admission and wish processing on the system to determine successful candidates according to their wishes. The university benchmark score was announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
Before 5:30 p.m. on August 30, all admitted candidates, including direct admitted candidates, must confirm their admission on the System if they wish to study at schools.
From September 1, universities can announce additional admission if they lack quotas.
In addition, in case of failure to be admitted in the first round or having other wishes, candidates still have the opportunity in the additional admission round from September 1. Therefore, candidates need to regularly update notifications from universities to submit their applications in a timely manner.
