The 2025 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will take place over 2 days, June 6-7, with 76,435 students taking the exam. The total enrollment target of public high schools is 70,070 students. This year's 10th grade exam is the first exam according to the 2018 general education program.
Candidates will take 3 subjects: Math, Literature (120 minutes/subject) and Foreign Language (90 minutes, according to foreign language 1 being studied at school). Candidates who register for a specialized school or integrated class will take an additional exam in a specialized subject or equivalent integrated (150 minutes).
The admission score is the total score: Literature score + Foreign language score + Math score + priority and incentive score (if any).
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that it has planned 142 exam locations (including 132 regular exam locations and 10 specialized exam locations) with 3,558 exam rooms; mobilized more than 10,000 teachers to be exam officers and 2,070 service staff.
At each exam location, 3 more reserve rooms are arranged to handle special cases that arise.
