On August 9, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province said that it is waiting for the opinion of the Ministry of Education and Training on the form of handling for the remaining candidate among the 6 candidates identified as being related to negativity in the graduation exam at the Le Truc High School exam site.
Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province determined that 6 candidates at the Le Truc High School exam site violated the exam regulations, based on the verification results of the Investigation Security Agency of the Provincial Police.
The provincial exam council has agreed to cancel the exam papers and subjects of 5 candidates according to regulations. These candidates will have to wait until the next year's exam to take the exam again.
For the remaining candidates, functional agencies propose applying the form of deducting exam scores. However, the specific deducted score level is still awaiting the opinion of the Ministry of Education and Training.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province, the form of handling must be based on the nature and severity of violations of each case.
The investigation results determined that the level of violation of the 6th candidate was less serious than the remaining 5 candidates. Therefore, this case was not proposed to cancel the exam paper but was considered for handling in the direction of deducting points.
The exam regulations stipulate forms of handling for violating candidates, including a deduction of 25% or 50% of the exam score.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province is seeking the Ministry of Education and Training's opinion on this candidate.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported on the appearance of reflections on suspicion of negativity at the Le Truc High School exam site.
Immediately after that, the Quang Tri Department of Education and Training reported to the Provincial People's Committee, and at the same time held an emergency meeting, established a working group to coordinate with the Provincial Police and functional agencies to verify and clarify the incident.
Quang Tri Provincial Police have prosecuted 2 teachers of Le Truc High School related to the case.
The Department of Education and Training has decided to cancel all exam results of the 5 related candidates.
