At the meeting with voters serving the election of delegates of Hue City People's Council for the term 2026 - 2031, Dr. Nguyen Son Ha - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assurance, Hue University of Law - Hue University presented an action program with many contents related to the field of education.
According to Dr. Nguyen Son Ha, education needs to be paid practical and long-term attention because this is the foundation for the sustainable development of the city. At the general education level, he believes that it is necessary to strengthen supervision of the implementation of fees in schools, ensuring compliance with regulations, publicity and transparency.
Although the tuition fee exemption policy has been implemented, many parents still have to pay tuition fees at the beginning of the school year, putting financial pressure on low-income families. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control non-tuition fees and have appropriate support mechanisms to ensure fairness in access to education.
In addition, the school environment needs to be comprehensively safe. Issues such as school violence, psychological pressure or social evils need to be identified early and there should be coordinated solutions between schools, families and local authorities. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen life skills education for students but without generating additional fees.
For university level, Dr. Nguyen Son Ha said that he will pay attention to students in difficult circumstances, especially students from remote and isolated areas coming to Hue to study. The city needs to have practical support policies on accommodation, part-time job opportunities, access to scholarships and preferential loans.
Dr. Ha proposed promoting the startup ecosystem among students. Accordingly, if conditions are created to access creative spaces, support funds and connections with businesses, many startup ideas of students can develop right in Hue, contributing to retaining high-quality human resources for the locality.
