Integrating basic research with strategic technologies, with innovation: Developing strong research groups on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Sciences, Ocean Sciences associated with strategic technologies; Developing strong research groups in the fields of social sciences, including philosophy, Sociology, psychology, economics, language studies, humanities, political science, history, geography, law, media...
Build a modern research infrastructure, synchronous with digital transformation: Establish a data center for basic scientific training and research; Establish 3 modern laboratories for training and research in physics, chemistry, biology; Establish an interdisciplinary research laboratory.
Talking to Lao Dong on April 2, a representative of VNU-HCM said that the contents of the seminar are being compiled. "There is currently no specific program or project on the above contents, when there is official information, we will provide it," he said.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of VNU-HCM also said that the opinions at the seminar will be accepted and finalized by the drafting team, and soon submitted to the competent authority for consideration and approval.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan added that in recent years, VNU-HCM has achieved many outstanding achievements in research and training in basic science and interdisciplinary science.
In 2024 alone, VNU-HCM will have more than 3,000 scientific articles published in prestigious international journals in the ISI/Scopus category, of which more than 45% are in the field of basic science.
