In 2026, 23 military schools/facilities will recruit a total of 5,420 military university and college quotas, an increase of more than 1,000 compared to 2025 and the highest level in about 5 years.
In which, the Military Technical Academy increased 40 military system quotas compared to 2025.
This is one of the three military schools recruiting female candidates this year, along with the Military Medical Academy and the Military Science Academy.
Military schools use 4 enrollment methods: direct admission and priority admission; considering the capacity assessment results of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; considering the results of the QDA exam of the Ministry of National Defense; and considering high school graduation exam scores.
2026 is the first year the Ministry of National Defense organizes the QDA capacity assessment exam. The Academy is the focal point for the QDA exam of the Ministry of National Defense in the Northern region.
In 2025, the benchmark score of the Military Technical Academy according to the high school graduation exam score method fluctuates from 26.4 - 29.25 points; the highest level belongs to female candidates in the South.
