The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City has announced the admission scores for grade 10 of two specialized schools, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted in 2025.
At Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, the benchmark score (eng squad 1) ranges from 27-35.75 points. The Biology class leads; followed by the Literature class with 35.5 points. The Math major takes 35.25 points. The lowest is the History class with 27 points.
At Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, the admission score ranges from 30-37.5 points. The Sinhatic class has the highest benchmark score; followed by the Math major class with 37.25 points. The Literature class takes 36 points.
English (5695) and English specialized classes have admission scores of 35.75 and 35.5 points, respectively.
The remaining specialized classes have a benchmark score of 30-32.5 points. The History major has the lowest benchmark score.
Earlier, the same morning, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the exam scores of more than 76,000 candidates.
The benchmark score for grade 10 major is calculated according to the formula: Literature score + Foreign language score + Math score + (specialized subject score x 2).
This year, a total of 5,550 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to Le Hong Phong and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
Of which, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted has 3,926 candidates registered to take the exam. The school's enrollment quota is 805. The average admission rate is 1/4.88.
Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted has 1,624 candidates taking the exam. The school's enrollment quota is 455. The average admission rate is 1/3.57.
If they are not admitted or do not submit their application to specialized schools, students graduating from junior high school in the 2024-2025 school year in Ho Chi Minh City will still be eligible to participate in the 10th grade admission exam according to 3 wishes to enter public high schools.
