The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has announced the benchmark scores for regular grade 10 of 109 public high schools.
According to statistics from Lao Dong newspaper, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School has the highest benchmark score, taking 24.5 points.
High schools ranked behind are Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (23.75 points); Nguyen Thuong Hien, Nguyen Huu Huan (23.5 points); Practice College - Saigon University, Nguyen Huu Cau (23 points); Tran Phu (22.75 points); Phu Nhuan (22.5 points); Bui Thi Xuan, Le Quy Don, Mac Dinh Chi (22.25 points).
Notably, this year, 14 high schools have the lowest admission score of 10.5 points (equivalent to 3.5 points/subject). Among them, schools such as Binh Khanh High School, An Thanh High School and An Nghia High School are the names that have recorded this score since 2024.
Statistics also show that up to 77/108 schools have reduced their benchmark scores compared to 2024 (accounting for 71%) with a common decrease of 0.25 to 4.75 points. Binh Tri Dong B High School (Hoang The Thien High School) is enrolling for the first time, so there is no comparison.
The school that decreased the most was Nguyen Thi Dieu High School (District 3), from 15.25 to 10.5 points - the lowest score in the city. Next is Gia Dinh High School (Binh Thanh District) - which was in the top with a benchmark score of 23 last year, this year decreased by 4.25 points, down to 18.75 points, falling out of the group of schools with high benchmark scores this year.
Cu Chi High School (reduced by 4 points), Dien Hong Secondary and High School, Suong Nguyet Anh Secondary and High School, Ngo Gia Tu High School, Nguyen Hien High School, Tan Tuc High School (reduced by 3 to 3.5 points).
On the other hand, the group increased in scores with 20 schools, most notably Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, increasing by 4.5 points (from 20 to 24.5 points).
Tran Khai Nguyen High School and Ngo Quyen High School both increased by 1.25 points. The remaining 17 schools increased from 0.25 to 0.75 points.



In 2025, the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will take place on June 6-7 with more than 76,000 candidates taking the exam.
The admission score is the total score: Literature score + Foreign language score + Math score + Priority and incentive score (if any).
In 2025, the total enrollment target of public high schools is 70,070 students. Thus, there will be about more than 6,000 students who will not pass this exam, will study at Continuing Education Centers; Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers or participate in other types of education and training.
