The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Plan No. 1710-KH/BGDĐT on organizing the 2026-2027 school year opening ceremony and the inauguration ceremony of boarding schools in land border communes.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the ceremony be organized solemnly, safely, practically, economically, effectively, and in accordance with actual conditions; ensuring concise content, educational significance, creating a good impression on students, teachers and society.
According to the program, the opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 school year and the inauguration of inter-level boarding schools in land border communes will be held from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM on September 5th, in a direct combined online form nationwide.
The central bridge point is located at Muong Khuong Boarding School, Muong Khuong commune, Lao Cai province. Each province and city arranges a main bridge point to connect with the central bridge point.
Schools across the country will participate in the common program including the following contents: Flag salute, singing the National Anthem; reason statement, introduction of delegates; report of the Ministry of Education and Training; directing speeches of Party and State leaders; opening drumming ceremony for the 2026-2027 school year; closing of the common program.
After the general program, educational institutions continue to organize activities suitable for students according to the educational institution's plan.
The Ministry requests units not to extend the ceremony part; prioritize activities that are close, practical, and appropriate to age psychology, especially for preschool children and first-grade students.
For higher education institutions, vocational education institutions and educational institutions under the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, management officials, lecturers, teachers, students are organized to participate in the general program through live television on VTV1 or live broadcast on VOV1, in accordance with actual conditions.
In the Plan, the Ministry of Education and Training also assigned specific tasks to units under the Ministry; People's Committees of provinces and cities; People's Committees of Lao Cai province (locality where the central bridge point is located); educational and training institutions to prepare and thoroughly implement the 2026-2027 school year opening ceremony and the inauguration ceremony of boarding schools in land border communes.
