Three public universities specializing in health training in Ho Chi Minh City, including Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Health Sciences (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) and Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University, have announced the input quality assurance threshold (floor score) according to the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam.
In which, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has the highest floor score of 23 points, applied to the two majors of Medicine and Dentistry. The majors of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy have a floor score of 20 points.
The group of majors taking 18 points includes: Preventive Medicine, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Nursing, Specialized Nursing in Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Obstetrics, Nutrition, Dental Rehabilitation Techniques, Medical Laboratory Techniques, Medical Imaging Techniques and Rehabilitation Techniques.
The three majors of Psychology, Public Health and Social Work have the lowest benchmark scores, all at 17 points.
At the University of Health Sciences (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), the benchmark score for 2026 ranges from 18-22 points. Among them, the medical, medical (order) and dental and maxillofacial majors will take 22 points; Pharmacy and Traditional Medicine will take 20 points; Nursing will take 18 points.
Meanwhile, Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University announced a floor score of 15.5-22.5 points for 14 training majors.
The two majors of Medicine and Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery have the highest benchmark scores with 22.5 points; Pharmacy takes 20.5 points and Traditional Medicine takes 20 points.
The group of majors with a floor score of 18 points includes: Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology and Rehabilitation Technology. The majors of Nutrition, Ophthalmology and Anesthesia and Resuscitation Technology all take 17 points; Public Health takes 16 points, while Psychology has the lowest floor score of 15.5 points.
The floor score is the input quality assurance threshold (admission application receiving threshold), not the official admission score. The benchmark score will be announced by the schools after completing the admission process.
