In 2025, the formula for calculating high school graduation recognition scores will change compared to before, according to the new exam regulations announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Accordingly, the graduation score will include three components: the scores of candidates taking the exam (accounting for 50%), the average score (DTB) for high school years (accounting for 50%) and the priority and incentive scores (if any).
Accordingly, the average score of high school years (high school years) is calculated according to the following formula: High school years = [(high school years = [(high school years of classes 10)x1 + (high school years of classes 11)x2 + (high school years of classes 12)x3] 6. In which, the average score of grade 10, the average score of grade 11, the average score of grade 12 is the average score of all subjects assessed by the scores of each school year.
The Ministry of Education and Training notes that the average score of grades 10, 11, and 12 is the average score of all subjects assessed by scores in each school year. These scores are rounded to two decimals.
This average score is only calculated for the school years in which candidates study a general education or continuing education program in Vietnam.
Candidates are given from 0.25 to 0.5 priority points if they are subject to the policy; only receive the highest level if they have many standards. Encouragement points from 1 to 2 points apply to candidates who win prizes in excellent student competitions, sports, science and technology... and are also only awarded the highest prize level.
From 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training will remove the addition of vocational certificate, IT, foreign language and intermediate vocational certificate scores for all candidates. Candidates who are eligible to take the exam, not disciplined, achieve more than 1 point per subject and have a graduation score of 5 or more will be recognized as having graduated from high school.
Candidates who are eligible to take the exam, without disciplinary action, and all subjects are above 1 point (on a scale of 10), and have a graduation score of 5 or higher, will be recognized as high school graduation.
All candidates have the right to re-examine the exam if they wish. Candidates submit an application for review at the registration site within 10 days from the date of announcement of the score. The application was then transferred to the Examination Council for handling.
The exam council is responsible for announcing and notifying the re-examination results to candidates within 15 days from the date of completion of application receipt.
