According to the reporter's investigation, Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just approved information about the Education Complex project (in Dien Bien Phu ward).
The project aims to form a multi-level education complex, including: general education (from elementary to high school), vocational education (primary, intermediate, college) and university education.
The land area for the project has an area of 10.57 ha. In which, mainly land specializing in growing wet rice, accounting for 97.08% of the area (equivalent to 10.27 ha).
The project has a scale of receiving over 6,000 students/year and the project's labor force is about nearly 500 lecturers, teachers and staff.
Specifically, general education has the largest scale with over 3,000 students/year. Higher education is about 2,000 students/year. Vocational education is over 700 students/year.

The preliminary total investment capital of the project is over 648 billion VND, not including land use fees and land rent.
Regarding construction scale, the project will allocate 24% of the area (25,484 m2) for construction land including learning areas, dormitories, multi-purpose buildings, and sports areas. The remaining land fund is used for green trees, landscapes, playgrounds and internal traffic.
The time to start organizing investor selection is until the end of the second quarter of 2026. According to the reporter's investigation, this educational complex is currently being proposed for investment by FPT Corporation.
Previously, at a working session with Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee in early February 2026, FPT Group proposed that the province soon approve the investment policy, consider applying preferential policies on land, support site clearance, and create conditions for the project to be implemented soon in accordance with regulations.
The Group also affirmed that if the procedures are resolved promptly and the coordination process between the parties is favorable, the project can be completed, inaugurated and welcome the first class of students right in September 2026.
