Right from mid-March 2026, Trieu Van Hoang, a 12th grade student at Vi Xuyen High School (Tuyen Quang), prepared a dossier to apply to a vocational college in Hanoi. Hoang informed his family and decided this after participating in a job transaction and career counseling session held at the end of February.
“I thought about not applying to universities because of my academic ability and family circumstances, recently participating in a job introduction and enrollment program in the commune, I was advised by vocational training schools about the curriculum as well as jobs after graduation. I found it very suitable for my conditions, so I chose to study electronics engineering,” Hoang shared.
As for Ly Thu Ha, a 12th-grade student at Na Hang High School (Tuyen Quang), she decided that after completing the high school graduation exam in mid-June, she will study abroad in Japan under a part-time program.
Ha said: "I was advised quite carefully by the study abroad enrollment units about finance, time and the benefits of studying and working in Japan. During the study period, I can still work part-time, earn extra income to help my family, after the study period, I will be awarded a degree and have a high opportunity to work in Japan with a high salary.
Enrollment counseling and career orientation are among the important contents implemented in parallel in job transaction sessions in Tuyen Quang province. This not only helps businesses reach workers but also vocational training institutions have more opportunities to introduce recruitment and training programs to high school graduation students.
For example, at the end of February 2026, the Vi Xuyen commune job transaction session with the participation of businesses, universities, colleges, consulting, recruitment and enrollment from provinces and cities of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang provided career guidance, provided labor market information, received applications and conducted preliminary interviews.
Many units have a need to enroll nearly 6,000 students in intermediate and college levels with occupations such as industrial electricity, automotive technology; electronics assembly, fiber, textiles, footwear, garment.
According to the Employment Service and History Archive Center (Department of Home Affairs of Tuyen Quang province), job transaction sessions organized to each commune have created an effective bridge between businesses and workers. At the same time, it contributes to raising awareness about vocational training and career orientation for youth and students.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Chinh - Director of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Employment Service and Historical Archive Center - said that in 2026, the unit will continue to organize many job introduction sessions to remote and isolated areas and communes, increasing opportunities to access labor market information for people.
At job transaction sessions, special attention is paid to counseling, career orientation, introducing enrollment information to students and young people, and bringing career guidance, vocational training and job connection to become more in-depth and substantive, making an important contribution to sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security," Mr. Chinh informed.
In 2025 alone, career counseling and introduction activities of Tuyen Quang province reached more than 65,000 people, supporting more than 2,000 workers to find suitable jobs, including nearly 400 workers going to work abroad under contracts, many workers, students, and young people were introduced to vocational training and arranged stable jobs at businesses.
