At noon on February 17, the leader of Buon Ma Thuot City Police, Dak Lak Province, said that the unit had organized a verification and had initial information about the case of a child D.A.D (9 months old) with a bruise on his cheek and was being treated at the hospital.
On the same morning, the City Police sent forces to the Central Highlands General Hospital to work with the child's father. In addition, the authorities also worked as a focal point for childcare on Tran Quy Cap Street (Tan Lap Ward).
"Initial verification results determined that the child had dark purple on his cheeks due to a fall at the nursery, there was no child abuse. Currently, the child is being treated for intestinal diseases at the hospital," added the leader of Buon Ma Thuot City Police.
According to the People's Committee of Tan Lap Ward, the childcare center was rented by a woman and took care of a number of children. This is a spontaneous youthcare location, so the Ward People's Committee has requested to stop operations and complete the dossier for administrative handling.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that Mr. D.V.N (born in 1987, residing in Krong Bong District) took his child, D.A.D (9 months old) to Buon Ma Thuot City to send to a daycare center on Tran Quy Cap Street.
On the afternoon of February 14, after picking up his child home, Mr. N discovered that his two parents had bruises. Next, Mr. N called to ask, but the nanny did not admit to beating him.
After that, baby D had a high fever and vomited, so Mr. N took his child to the Central Highlands General Hospital for treatment.
Mr. N continued to call the caregiver and his wife, asking to tell the truth about why the child had bruises on his face. However, the couple did not admit to beating the child and challenged Mr. N to report to the police.
